Trunk or Treat Decoration Theme Ideas

Trunk or treat involves a community coming together in a parking lot so that children of all ages can trick-or-treat out of the decorated trunks of cars. From cute decorations to sophisticated scenes, truck, car, and minivan decorating is being taken to the next level in 2019.

Originally started by church groups with the goal of hosting a safe environment for trick-or-treaters on Halloween, trunk or treat involves a community coming together in a parking lot so that children of all ages can trick-or-treat out of the decorated trunks of cars. From cute decorations to sophisticated scenes, truck, car, and minivan decorating is being taken to the next level in 2019.

Easy Trunk or Treat Decorating

Take the stress out of planning for Fall Festivals by utilizing inflatables as the main element in your vehicle’s “trunk”.  Utilize a 12volt adapter to run the air fan and instantly you have a larger than life scene that will be noticeable from afar.   A few handmade decorations and streamers complete the trunk or back of an SUV.  A few decorations from a dollar store and plenty of candy will make your spot the festival favorite.

Spooky or Family Friendly Options

Enhance your trunk or treat decorating this year with spooky inflatables such as a fire breathing dragons and spooky trees or stay child-friendly with cute jack-o-lanterns, black cats, and friendly spiders & critters.  Create a haunted house, or in this case a haunted trunk, by placing an inflatable archway against the open vehicle.  Guests will be curious as to what is behind the arch if they heed the “Enter if you dare” warning! Skeleton dogs and dinosaurs will be sure to pique the interest of attendees with an animal theme.

It’s not too early to start planning. An inflatable or two and imagination are key.  Remember, it’s almost candy swapping season!
